I was a very strong willed child and when Daddy died in the plane crash I hated the world and God. It took many many years for me to find peace with this and to know that God loved me and had a reason for all things that he ALLOWED to happen. True Southern Gospel is what Mike & Kelly is and all that we will ever be. We strive on creating a sound that is as refreshing as the trio sounds of the early 70s. We try to bring a fresh approach to the sound we grew up listening to In all of our concerts, we will get requests for some old LeFevre songs and we'll usually do one or two, but this group really has a sound all it's own and our live performances and recordings are made up of music that is us Over the July 4th holiday, our oldest son, Stetson, was hurt while playing in a pool with a bunch of people.  One thinks of as deep a bass voice as one can imagine, a tall man ending a song with a distinctive vocal slide from the dominant in a chord to the tonic, and a genuinely funny man who could have just as easily made as good a living as a stand up comic
 Well, I've handled all of the politics and stock market demise that I can handle for one day. I can't bear to hear another word from another Presidential candidate. I'm not depressed, but I sure am bored
