We trust that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and survived all the great food! We were home with our families and enjoyed every minute of it! God has been so good to us. The one thing that we always are thankful for, among our many blessings, is safety on the road. God has really kept His hand on the group over the years as we have traveled around the world singing the gospel and for that we thank Him.
Speaking of travel, we just returned from a wonderful time in Bermuda. We were there for a couple of days and sang several times. The folks there love gospel quartet music. One of the many things that we were impressed with was that you get that tropical feel without the tropical sweat! The island lies at about the same latitude as Tennessee. We had a cool breeze blowing the whole time we were there. The locals told us that the average temperature is around 75 degrees during any given year. The highest temperature on record was 95 degrees during the summer dipping in the winter with average lows of around 41 degrees. Can you say No Snow! It was fabulous. We can't wait to visit again! If you ever have a chance to go by all means... go!
We are looking forward to enjoying the Christmas season at home with family and friends. We typically are on the road until the middle of December and then we take a break until after New Years. It is our sincere desire that each of us will try to focus on Who we are celebrating and in so doing we will find a dearer and deeper walk with our Lord. Enjoy time with family and friends because you can rest assured that we will! Remember to say Merry Christmas, after all, Christ is the one we're celebrating!
Thank you to our Lord Jesus who put a song in our hearts and a call on our lives to share this gospel in song. Thank you to every Pastor who opened the doors of their church to us. Thank you to every promoter who used us on their programs this past year. Thank you to every DJ who has been playing our music. Thank you to our wonderful wives Lorraine, Pauline, Samuella and Linda for keeping the home fires burning while we're away. Thank you to Deon and all the wonderful folks at Absolutely Gospel for helping us share our music and message with the world. Last and by no means least, thank you our listening audience. We can't do what we do without you. Thank you for all your love and support over the years. we love you all. Thank you all for making 2011 a great year for The King's Heralds.
